How to use the Find some quick wins
This is a dashboard-format analytic that pulls together fast-acting fundraising opportunities into one place. It is built on the data from these analyses: QX1 (Anniversary Report, last gift 11 months ago), QX2 (Recently Lapsed Middle and Bottom), QX18 (Attrition Warning Summary), QX20 (Attrition Warning Detail), QX98 (Donor Tier Upgrade Pathways), QX138 (Middle and Bottom Donors Proximity to Upgrade), QX151 (Middle Donors whose gift size is Increasing), QX204 (Recapture Donor Opportunity Action List), and QX206 (Long Term Lapse Priority List).
The dashboard organizes these into three families of opportunity, upgrade, retention (at-risk), and recapture, and gives each one two views. A Pool view sizes the opportunity: how many donors fit and how much giving they represent. A Donor List view provides the named, formatted records a fundraiser can pick up and work immediately. Pool Sizes gives you the at-a-glance bar chart; the Upgrade Pipeline, Retention Risk, and Recapture Timing tabs summarize each family; and the View tabs, Upgrade Ready, Gift Size Increasing, Attrition Detail (with urgent records highlighted), Anniversary Window, Recapture Targets, Recently Lapsed, and Long-Term Lapse, hold the working lists.
The strategic value is speed to action. Instead of running many separate analyses and stitching them together, a fundraiser gets sized opportunities and ready-to-work donor lists in one workbook, which is ideal for a monthly push or when you need results quickly.
You should refresh this monthly and hand the donor lists to the appropriate gift officers and annual giving staff. Start with the pools that combine the most donors and the most giving, and prioritize the urgent attrition records and the highest-lift recapture targets.
Measure success by upgrades completed from the upgrade lists, at-risk donors retained after outreach, and lapsed donors recaptured from the timing and target lists.
